The Big O

The other day I gave Avery some Cheerios just to see what she would do with them. After a close and thorough inspection, she managed to pick one up and get it into her mouth, but she hasn't mastered the skill of letting go of things yet (unless she's throwing something...that she's good at). So she would pick up a Cheerio and shove it in her mouth, along with her whole hand, and suck on it. Sometimes she would just hold one up to her mouth and lick it. This was all pretty amusing to watch, as you might imagine. So a couple days later when we were again playing with Os, I got out the video camera to try to capture the fun. While I was filming, she actually got the Cheerio in her mouth and ate it! I don't know who was more surprised, she or I. Now she's mastered the skill and actually gets them into her mouth about half the time. The other half, she gets them stuck on her hand, or her head, or mashed into her shirt...
