While she's eating, Avery often insists on holding the spoon and "helping." As you can see here, her aim is less than perfect. I am happy to report that rice cereal does not cause any lasting harm, even when it is placed directly on the eyeball. Also, sometimes she puts the wrong end of the spoon in her mouth, pokes herself in the throat, and gets mad at me. Fun times...

Bull's-Eye
While she's eating, Avery often insists on holding the spoon and "helping." As you can see here, her aim is less than perfect. I am happy to report that rice cereal does not cause any lasting harm, even when it is placed directly on the eyeball. Also, sometimes she puts the wrong end of the spoon in her mouth, pokes herself in the throat, and gets mad at me. Fun times...

That is sooo cute. Bless her heart. Hitting your eyeball with rice cereal is not the kind of reward she deserves for exhibiting a feisty, independent spirit. Keep up the good work, Avery! She is darling!!
Rice cereal might not cause permanent damage, but wait until she gets into things like ravioli. That's gonna leave a mark.
Speaking of her feisty, independent spirit, she has already learned to "call the animals." Ha!
