I am convinced at this point that Avery is not ever going to crawl the "traditional" way, on hands and knees. She still has this low-crawl thing going on, and now she has her legs in on the action to push her along faster. She often does this one-armed while carrying a rattle or some other important object. She doesn't seem to mind that she looks different from the other crawlers in her class. She's just happy to get where she wants to go. Which, these days, is all over the freakin' house. Plus, you really have to give her points for originality. Here's some video of our little scooter.

Love the scoot crawl. Does she always hold the left let up in the air as she scoots, like an antenna or prehaps for balance? Or does she sometimes hold the right one up? She is your daughter - very creative and a problem solver. She wanted to get from point A to B so she devised a way. Thank you for capturing this. WE MISS ALL OF YOU!!!!! We just can't wait another month.
I finally figured out the left leg in the air thing. That's her very own built in FM radio antenna :-)
I have noticed that she always uses her right foot to propel (leaving the left for antenna usage), and when she goes one armed, it's always her left arm that she uses. Don't know the significance of that really, except that I worry that she'll have one buff leg and one dweaky one. =)
19 more days and counting. I was just snooping around looking for some 11 month pix but I came up empty so I guess I'll go to bed now.
