We were home just long enough to do some laundry before it was time to head up to the mountains for what has become our annual pre-back-to-school trip to Table Rock. We got rained on again this year but still managed to have a great time. Our favorite memory, although there is no photographic evidence (because the camera was inside the cabin with the keys), was when Mommy locked all four of us out of the cabin on the screened-in porch. In the pouring rain. (I'm talking deluge.) No phones. No car keys. So Mommy (who was the only one wearing shoes) had to run, in the aforementioned downpour, to the ranger station for a rescue. Once we were all back in the cabin safe and dry, we thought this was pretty hilarious.

| With all the rain, we spent some time inside playing games. Avery found a Scrabble game in the cabin, got it out, and promptly spelled this. Huh. |
| We decided to test out our new raincoats and go hiking in the rain. |
| It was a nice little (albeit muddy) hike. |
| Well, we were already wet. Might as well play in the waterfall. |
| After the first day, the weather cleared up. So we rode the pedal boats. |
| And we went swimming every day. |
| And my brave girl went off the high dive!!! |
| We decided this year that we were ready to attempt to summit Table Rock Mountain. We were all smiles at the trailhead. |
| The first of several waterfalls. |
| We saw some biiiiig rocks! We named this one "The Whale." |
| So proud of my little troopers, though slightly less smiley 3.5 miles later. |
| Great view from the top! |
| Some well-deserved s'mores to wrap up a fun getaway! |
