Turning FOUR!

I am still trying to figure out how this little turkey is four whole years old. But alas, that seems to be the case. We were supposed to be on a family trip to Washington DC the week of Mason's birthday (and also the 4th of July of course). But a tree through the roof spoiled our travel plans. Mommy and the kids had to stay home to deal with the mess, but Daddy had to go up anyway for work. Despite our plans being totally hosed, we managed to have some birthday fun.

Mason chose to have his party at Brick By Brick (aka "the Lego place") this year. And boy oh boy did we have fun!

 They raced lego cars...

They got their boogy on...

They had a tower-building contest...

And of course there were candles and cupcakes.

Oh, and presents. There were definitely presents.

On his actual birthday, Mason wanted to go to the beach. He and his BFF Connell spent the entire time in the water, whacking the waves with a rake and a shovel.

We took our crazy out for birthday burgers.

Mason's birthday dinner choice was actually the Japanese hibachi place, but he wanted to wait until Daddy got home to go with us.
