I am still trying to figure out how this little turkey is four whole years old. But alas, that seems to be the case. We were supposed to be on a family trip to Washington DC the week of Mason's birthday (and also the 4th of July of course). But a tree through the roof spoiled our travel plans. Mommy and the kids had to stay home to deal with the mess, but Daddy had to go up anyway for work. Despite our plans being totally hosed, we managed to have some birthday fun.

| On his actual birthday, Mason wanted to go to the beach. He and his BFF Connell spent the entire time in the water, whacking the waves with a rake and a shovel. |

| Mason's birthday dinner choice was actually the Japanese hibachi place, but he wanted to wait until Daddy got home to go with us. |
