Thrilling Three

After such a fun birthday party weekend, we kept the celebration going a few days longer for Mason's actual birthday. Perhaps not shockingly, when we gave him choices on how to spend his birthday (where to have dinner, for example), he chose the same things that Avery did on her birthday. So back to the Japanese place we went...

Testing out his new bike!

Mason loves the fire when it's at other tables. But when it's time for fire at our table, he turns into a chicken and covers his eyes with Daddy's hand.

Special toppings for the birthday boy's ice cream.

And he got to ring the gong! Here he was not shy. Or chicken.

Opening presents.

One last rousing rendition of happy birthday. And now Birthday Elmo has gone back into hibernation until next summer...
