Steiner Cousins, Woot Woot!

Cousin Rylee came to visit last week, with Aunt Mona and Uncle Sean in tow. We had a busy, busy week showing Rylee all our favorite things to do. The week they were here was also Mason's birthday (stay tuned for pics of that in the next post) and the 4th of July. How much more could we pack into one single week? We were all very sad when Rylee had to go home, and a week later I'm still answering the question "Where Rylee go?" at least once a day.

Ready for the pool!

Exploring the water wall at the aquarium.

Touching stuff at the aquarium.

We introduced Rylee to corn on the cob. She didn't need much encouragement.

We also showed her our favorite beach.

This is Mason's new favorite game. He says "Two, three, go!" and then runs...

...and hurls himself into the water. He loves it. And it wears him out. So I don't complain.

Taking a break from running around like crazy people to help Rylee in her endeavor to cover Uncle Sean in wet sand.

Build faster, Daddy, we are ready to zoom!

Popsicles at the farmer's market. Big fun, big mess!

We attempted a photo shoot in our 4th finery. Mason was clearly too busy to participate.

Take Two. What the heck?

Then the girls got distracted by the curlicues on their dresses. Looks like we're 0 for 2 on 4th of July photo shoots.

Patriotic hugs.

BBQ silliness. (Also note the Vandy cup that this UK girl is drinking from!)

A rare moment when Mommy is not holding the camera.

Avery picked some flowers for Aunt Mona.

Mason chose camo rain boots to round out his 4th of July outfit. Guess he really is a Southern boy!

Taking Aunt Mona for a spin on the pirate ship.

The three amigos hiding behind the couch.

Splashing at the pool.

By the end of the week, we finally convinced Rylee to jump. Hooray!

Night night hugs.
