F-O-U-R!

Turning four is a very big deal. So big, in fact, that we celebrated for an entire week. Avery's actual birthday was a school day, so we made cupcakes to take to school for a party there. Then we had a special "Avery's choice" dinner of mac & cheese followed by...yes, another cupcake...with our little family. Then on Saturday we had a party at the swimming pool with her friends. Swimming, pizza, and -- wait for it -- cupcakes. What fun! Granddad and Marguerite came down for the party and stayed through the weekend, so the fun didn't stop until Monday. Phew! Now Mommy and Daddy need a break (and a cupcake detox) for a few weeks until we get to do it all again for Mason.

The only child I know who eats the bottom of a cupcake first. How is this my kid?
