Somehow, Avery turned five this year. Clearly we fell into some sort of time warp or something, because it doesn't seem possible that five years have passed since she burst onto the scene. Despite my denial, we were so happy to have Liz and Meghan, and Granddad and Marguerite in town to help us celebrate. She has asked me to report that she had a great birthday and she's having fun being five.
