Since my cousin was getting married nearby in Maryland, we made the trek up to Virginia and spent a week with Grandma and Grandpa. We were also so excited to hang out with cousin Rylee (and her parents) and explore all the fun things to do up there.
| Nevermind all the toys; I think they had the most fun with an old keyboard with a broken key. |
| Just like his sister did two years before, Mason enjoyed wreaking havoc in Grandpa's newspaper basket. |
| Little drummer girls. |
| I'm not sure what was being discussed here, but it was a congenial negotiation. |
| "Let me get that block for you, cuz." |
| "That expired WHEN, Grandma?!" |
| Sharing a private joke with Grandma. |
"Seriously, Mommy? Seriously?"
(Note: This was part of a nautical photo shoot that warrants its very own post. This is just a glimpse of the madness.) |
| Grandma's big, fancy tub makes LOTS of bubbles! |
| Meeting the goats at the Reston Zoo. |
| This llama was not wearing red pajamas. He was hungry, though. |
| Quacking up. |
| Hangin' with the joeys. |
| Mason on his chariot. |
| Figuring out the slide at a nearby playground. |
| Wrangling a gator. |
| Sprinkler fun. |
| Relaxing in the pool after a long, hard day of exploring. |
| Cousins decked out in their wedding attire. |
| Avery's favorite part was definitely the chocolate fountain. |
And my favorite part was definitely the dance moves of the under-5 set.
